Figuring out the family supper

Things have been going well, not a whole lot to update here on the babyfront. No new cravings and I've been feeling much better puke-wise (except I puked last night but it was the first time in a week and a half).
We're trying to organize a family supper to tell everyone the sex but it has kinda been tricky. D's dad works at a mine and has just gotten into a new rotation so he's working 2 weeks here, 2 weeks away. We were going to have everyone go for supper the weekend after next to announce the sex (my parents were even going to come up on Thur after the 3D u/s and take 2 days off work) but now my FIL won't be here and D would really like him here to tell him the sex (understandibly so). My parents can't come up until late on Friday this week because my dad has an exam on Friday (he's taking his MBA). And D's mom has to work Sat evening. So we either all do it super late Friday night, do it with the original plan next weekend but minus the FIL, or we just have 2 seperate suppers -one with D's family this weekend, one with mine next weekend. We're kinda leaning with the last option-as long as my parents are fine with being delayed in knowing a week late.
As a side note, D's so cute. A while ago we went to a furniture store to see if they had any nursery furniture and instead of asking the sales guy for the nursery section he asked where the maternity section was. The guy just looked at him. And now he keeps calling the dinner 'the reveal of the paternity test'. I'm like ' um no honey, we know the paternity-we're just finding out the sex'. Lol. He means to say the gender but for some reason the word paternity keeps coming out!
